Where has the time gone?

I can't believe I haven't been on my blog in so long. The days go by so fast and I have been so busy.
So much has gone I on don't even know where to start.

My mom had a second surgery on her knee. She is doing ok but has been in a lot of
pain. She has therapy and the guy has been bending it 100%. I know she is just really bored with being stuck in the house. She is starting to get out more a little here and there though.

My computer crashed and I lost all my pictures!! I was a little upset but I'm over it now. Most of them were my vacations pictures. I saved a lot of the pictures of the baby and my kids stuff but I never got around to saving my folder and then CRASH!!! Oh well, life goes on..It's weird how you change after something like cancer...when things like my computer crashing happens it just doesn't feel like the end of the world anymore. lol

Megan went on Spring Break to Florida and I was a nervous wreck! I tracked her plane all the way there. I called her 10 times before she ever made it to the hotel room, then I realized.....ok I have to let her go and have a good time without me stalking her. I finally told her to call me when she wanted to talk, and she said..."no mom, please call me anytime you want." She would call me when she was laying on the beach in Daytona and tell my how beautiful it was and that she wants to take a trip with me. She has grown up so much. It makes me happy, but it makes me sad too.

I joined a gym! I go every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. The reason I joined was to get my strength back. I have lost about 25 pounds that I gained during my treatment. I'm about back to where I weighed when I was diagnosed. Now I just have to get some muscle tone back. So far I am loving the gym. I haven't been too sore..just a little and I don't dread going. Sue joined with me and we have such a good time together. They have a steam room, a dessert room, pool and whirlpool.
After working out it feels great to just go in there and hang out. I love it.

I am going to have to come here more often. I really miss it. It's just that when I was sick, this was my place to go to vent and let everyone know what was going on in my life. I miss everyone and I really have to go catch on some blogs. I hope everyone is doing good.

Well, I'm off to the show! I am taking my niece and nephew to see the Hannah Montana movie...(shh, I really want to go too!) I used to watch Hannah Montana marathons when I was sick. It would be the only thing on besides infomercials when I couldn't sleep. lol.

So good to see you posting again. I hope you do it more often! I hope your mom's knee gets better, I can just imagine she's getting stir crazy, especially with it being spring. Good for you losing 25 pounds! I can't seem to keep weight off - it's off then on again. Enjoy that gym! I can't get my boys to see the Hannah Montana movie, even though they watch the tv show all the time. *sigh* I don't want to think about the boys leaving the nest like Megan. *sigh*

Hey Trish!

Thanks for the sweet comment, I miss you too!!! I know how it is...I grow through spurts of being on here nonstop and spurts of being on maybe once a week...but when i'm not on here I do think of all of you often...

Thanks I think Maddie(our kitten) is cute too...hehe I just uploaded a couple videos on my blog of Jeff, Beau and her...the first one doesn't have any sound because YouTube apparently thinks there is a copyrights issue..because Josh Groban was playing in the background on my tv...is that silly or what..lol

Hope your having a good weekend!

Hugs
Terri

Chemo Sucks!

This 3rd chemo has really kicked my butt.  I am just not snapping out of it. I am so tired and nauseated. I am really starting to hate this.  I went to the doctor and my red cell count is low and I am anemic. I had to get a shot and I will get it once a week until my count comes up.  I really can't wait until March when this is over. It seems like it will be forever before it gets here.  I am really trying not to get down about this but I am really sick of feeling like this.  I'm hungry and have no appetite. I force myself to eat then I'm sick. UGGG! I also have been having really bad leg cramps. The kind that you wake up with and your toes flare out!  My calves feel like I ran 20 miles. I feel so bad because I have not been calling my friends. I have just been so down and feeling icky.  I hope everyone understands. OK enough whining. I stayed at my sisters for 2 days and then came home to find out my dog was sick while I was gone....

No more port!

A lo t ha s gone on. Mom ha s recovered from diverticulitis . She was so sick. I was so worried. She would get better and then BAM, she would get sick again. She had a long hospital stay but I am glad to say that she is doing so much better. I had my por t removed on Wed n esday. I am s o happy t o have it gon e . I t ’s no t t h at h a s bothered m e but i t was ju s t there an d i t was a nuisa n ce. I ha d to have it flushed every four w eeks and it would ache sometimes. So I am j us t glad i t ’s gon e . I also had to have a colonoscopy the same day. OMG if you ever ha d one I don’ t even have t o explain about the day before a nd the misera b le “prep” as they call it. I had to drink th e magic potion at 2:0 0 . After I choked it down I was sitting there thinking. Hmm, maybe the m ise r y everyone talks about won’t be so bad for me, I mean I hardly ate anything yesterday and I haven’t been on anything but liquids since I woke u p this morning, Every t hing was go...

Not Feeling So Well...

Hi everyone, this is Trish's sister Sue again.  Trish has not been feeling too well and on Friday we had to take her to the ER department.  She is so weak and was very close to having pneumonia.  She has been on antibiotics for 12 days now and they are concerned about why she is not getting better.  Needless to say, we are very worried.  She feels a little better today, but is on oxygen and just has absolutely no energy.  They have been giving her breathing treatments since yesterday, and some other medicines in her IV.  They are bringing in an infectious disease doctor to see if they can pinpoint what is going on.  She will be there until at least Monday.  She has her scans (right there) on Monday too.  We'll keep you posted - please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.
