Happy Birthday To Our Angel Sharon

Happy Birthday to my beautiful sister Sharon

November 07, 1953 - May 11, 1994

We miss you more everyday. I never needed you like I do now.

I know you are with dad and that gives me so much peace.

Here is something that Sharon wrote.

                                            I Am With You

                                     Birds continue to sing

The sun unmasks its radiance each new day

My soul has been awakened to the breathtaking world I

                                              imagine

                                       And I am with you

                                  Waves yet rush to shore

                              Flowers bloom forever more

Within these clouds I witness an electrifying panoramic view

                                      And best of all

                                    I am still with you

When gray skies cover the sun

And the moon seems not so bright

In the silent hours of your darkest night

                                       Just call for me

And I will be with you

Earthy demise does not diminish friendships

For my life was no ordinary moment

                        Every day brought new dimensions

And you each played a part

                          Discover the Beauty in knowing

                      That soul-binding love never departs

                                 And know in your heart

That I am always with you

                                   I love you Sharon

                                   Love your family

That is so beautiful, Trish..  it made me cry.  Your sister is the same age as I am now, born the same year.

I know you must miss her terribly, and wish she were there, but,  you know.. she is... even if you can't see her...

Hugs

Hi Trish,

I am glad that you were able to enjoy the weekend. It is supposed to be beautiful again today so maybe you can think about going outside again. I think it's great that you have so many stuffed animals. But, when you want to see REAL "Stuffed" animals, I can take you on a private barn tour anytime after 5:00 pm!

We decorated the animals for Halloween and our Donkey still has a blue head! We knew we were in trouble when we couldn't wash the hair spray off of our hands.

Please know you are always in my thoughts and prayers!

Have a super day!

Chemo Sucks!

This 3rd chemo has really kicked my butt.  I am just not snapping out of it. I am so tired and nauseated. I am really starting to hate this.  I went to the doctor and my red cell count is low and I am anemic. I had to get a shot and I will get it once a week until my count comes up.  I really can't wait until March when this is over. It seems like it will be forever before it gets here.  I am really trying not to get down about this but I am really sick of feeling like this.  I'm hungry and have no appetite. I force myself to eat then I'm sick. UGGG! I also have been having really bad leg cramps. The kind that you wake up with and your toes flare out!  My calves feel like I ran 20 miles. I feel so bad because I have not been calling my friends. I have just been so down and feeling icky.  I hope everyone understands. OK enough whining. I stayed at my sisters for 2 days and then came home to find out my dog was sick while I was gone....

No more port!

A lo t ha s gone on. Mom ha s recovered from diverticulitis . She was so sick. I was so worried. She would get better and then BAM, she would get sick again. She had a long hospital stay but I am glad to say that she is doing so much better. I had my por t removed on Wed n esday. I am s o happy t o have it gon e . I t ’s no t t h at h a s bothered m e but i t was ju s t there an d i t was a nuisa n ce. I ha d to have it flushed every four w eeks and it would ache sometimes. So I am j us t glad i t ’s gon e . I also had to have a colonoscopy the same day. OMG if you ever ha d one I don’ t even have t o explain about the day before a nd the misera b le “prep” as they call it. I had to drink th e magic potion at 2:0 0 . After I choked it down I was sitting there thinking. Hmm, maybe the m ise r y everyone talks about won’t be so bad for me, I mean I hardly ate anything yesterday and I haven’t been on anything but liquids since I woke u p this morning, Every t hing was go...

Radiation begins!

I waited ten days to hear from someone about starting radiation and this morning I get a call saying, can you be here at 11:45? Yikes no time to think! I was really nervous about it. I called my mom and she came to my rescue. Today was actually a dry run, I start tomorrow and I don’t really have a schedule yet. I have to do it at their convenience because there are no regular time slots open. So starting tomorrow I will go everyday except Saturday and Sunday for 7 weeks for a total of 35 treatments. That means I will end some where around June 12. I heard it takes longer to change your clothes than it does to do the treatment. Today I had to lay on the table in the little form they made for me and this huge machine rotated around me and they made sure everything was lining up right. They also gave me a little bar code on a card that I have to scan everyday and it lets them know I am there for treatment. Then I go into the changing room and change into my lovely gown. Then I just wai...
